Moving through changes brings about a surmount of stress
related physiological and psychological changes in people's
lives. It's hard to imagine a life full of bliss and peace.
The solace that people
achieved earlier through extra curricular activities to
reduce their cortisol levels through yoga, meditation,
exercise, gymming, socialising etc has to be totally
restructured in today's world
of uncertainty. The coronavirus changed not only the
geographical communications but also to a vast extent the
personal growth within each person. Millions of employees
were faced with a tremendous
amount of surge in their stress levels owing to fear of
being laid off, uncertainty in the job market, adapted work
methodology, having to face increased work from home
challenges etc.
Amidst being locked up inside the home, as proven
since years by psychologists, the minds took a sharp turn
towards deterioration. Frustration and conflicts caused an
increase in the
mental breakdown of people and this in turn even led to the
increase in suicide rates.
What is the solution to this???
But, can uncontrollable factors in our lives be changed or modified? The question we need to ask ourselves is what are we making of what life is throwing at us? Why not take every day as a blessing and opportunity to connect and reconnect with loved ones in a different manner. We are lucky to have technology at our disposal and it enables us to communicate with people surpassing geographical boundaries as well. Why not do yoga and meditation at home as we would have our other regular routines like eating food or cleaning the house? Stress can make or break us. We have to take the opportunities that we have, count our blessings and give immense gratitude to all the good things we have. It is then that life around us starts to make sense and we can look beyond our pain. It is about converting pain into passion, about moulding ourselves in such a way that we bask in the glory of our changed lives and not crib or complain. One positive thought can create a huge discharge of unwanted negative thoughts from our lives. You just need to try it and then keep the faith.
Conclusion
The world will keep changing. The crux is whether we should 'change' alongwith the 'change' or stay where we are to stagnate. The clue to manage the piling up stress is to move out of our comfort zones, to think out of the box and stay in a constant mode of positive progress. Life will change for the better, but are you prepared to move towards that change? It is in your hands!!!!
